Coaching with Daniel Ju

Coaching that equips you to lead.

Whether it's your career, your health, or a bigger life change, I partner with you to think more clearly, decide with more confidence, and grow into who you want to be. Not by handing you answers, but by helping you find your own.

The "D.J." approach
A coach is a catalyst.

Coaching does not hand you a playbook. It builds your capacity to find your own. We enter an equal partnership and create the conditions for something to shift, in how you think, how you see a situation, or how you act.

The core discipline is inquiry: asking the questions that deepen your own learning rather than telling you what to do. A coach lives in the top-left of the graph, high on asking, low on telling.

FAQ

Common questions

What are the ground rules? (e.g. confidentiality)

You'll set the ground rules with me when we start, and we can refresh them any session as you see fit. The number one rule is confidentiality: what we discuss stays between us, and I work to hold a safe space grounded in openness, respect, and no judgment.

How many sessions, and in what format?

It depends on the structure we solidify together, but the package I usually recommend is 6 sessions over 6 months to work toward a larger, tangible goal. If you would rather start with one-off sessions, that is completely fine. Sessions are typically budgeted for an hour and run about 45 to 60 minutes.

Why is the first session free?

The first session is complimentary while I complete the practice hours required for my certifications. It's a low-pressure way to see if we're a good fit. Subsequent sessions start at $125/hour.

What if I want advice or mentoring instead?

A coach is committed to your ability to solve your own problems, so I won't simply tell you what I would do. I will, though, help you think through new approaches and practice how to ask others for advice or mentoring when that's what you need.

Professional profile

For a decade I was the senior operating executive and first people leader at iRESTORE, a DTC eCommerce beauty and wellness brand, serving as the operating partner beside the founder as we scaled the business ~10x. I've led teams both large and intimate across marketing, HR and people, operations, and project management.

In my previous roles I've effectively been the Chief of Staff, coaching and mentoring the teams I oversee. I'm EOS-trained as a Traction Implementer, and I lead the leadership and pod meetings that keep everyone integrated around a strong, shared vision.

Personal side

I live in Downtown LA with my husband and our four cats: Tumi, Tako, Ellay, and DT. On weekends you'll usually find us out with friends, enjoying all the great food and drink the city has to offer, or home with the cats. To unwind, we love escaping to nearby spots like Las Vegas and Zion National Park, and we love international travel too. Next stops include Japan, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam and France!

Training & credentials

Trained in the craft of coaching.

I'm building a comprehensive approach to coaching: the tools I earned as a team integrator and people leader inside a growing company, fused with formal training in executive coaching and health and wellness coaching.
